We try our best to respond to emails from our readers, but we cannot answer them all. From itinerary planning to things to do in the area, we receive many daily emails that make it impossible to respond to every email individually. Please understand that it’s just two of us and we’re sorry if we’re unable to respond to your email. When is the best time to visit?

It’s all subjective to what you’d like from a trip to the Rockies, but generally, the high seasons are popular for good reason.

  • Summer is amazing, with warm weather and amazing hiking conditions. We recommend visiting from July to September to see the famed blue lakes such as Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, or Emerald Lake. 
  • Winter can be an amazing time to visit for those searching for snowy mountains. There is no shortage of winter activities from December to March, and the cold temperatures provide reliable conditions. Western Canada has some of the best skiing in the world, with our favorite resorts being Lake Louise, Kicking Horse, Revelstoke, and Red Resort.
