Quick Overview
Basecamp Suites Revelstoke, the newest hotel in town, is a great base in one of our favorite places. It is in the town center with close access to great coffee shops, bars, and restaurants. Basecamp Suites Revelstoke has a suite configuration that provides condo-style accommodation. This means king beds in the primary bedrooms along with a full kitchen.

Revy has a lot to offer visitors, no matter the season, whether it’s tackling stunning hiking trails, epic powder skiing, scenic paddles, relaxing hot springs, downhill mountain biking, and a lot more. We’ve long had a soft spot for Revy and even lived in the town for a ski season. Any place that offers another home away from home in Revy gets top marks from us.
The Rooms

The “rooms” at Basecamp Suites Revelstoke are closer to condos than traditional hotel rooms. This is a good approach to mountain accommodation, as the extra space and a full kitchen are helpful when exploring the mountains. This is super helpful for making packed lunches for a day out hiking or skiing in Glacier National Park.

Room options vary greatly, from small micro-suites to spacious three-bedroom condos. Those traveling with family or friends will appreciate the larger units. The two and three-bedroom units have a spacious living room with a smart TV and sectional couch. Their partnership with Dose, our favorite coffee shop in Revy, meant we had some delicious coffee to start the day.
Many condo units can accommodate quite a few people with comfy beds and convertible sofa beds. Additional awesome features we really appreciated were a washer and dryer and Rocky Mountain toiletries in all the bathrooms.

The hotel shares many features and design elements with Basecamp Resorts Revelstoke, the company’s first hotel in town. The largest difference lies in the location: The Suite locations provide convenient access to the town’s center, while Resorts has a more natural setting outside town.
Most short-term rentals lack kitchen supplies. While we expected most things to be at a certain level in the condo, the well-stocked kitchen surprised us the most. I was able to easily cook a full meal in the kitchen.

Overall, we give the Basecamp Suites and Resorts properties in Revelstoke top marks. We’ve stayed at the Resorts twice and the newly opened suites and have nothing but good things to say about our stay. They make for an exceptionally comfortable stay—we can’t wait to stay on our next ski trip.

Revelstoke At The Doorstep

While in the center of town, you may as well hit some of our favorite spots. No trip to Revelstoke, especially in the winter, is complete without stopping by the Village Idiot. It’s an institution in Revelstoke and possibly one of the best apres-ski bars in the world—they happen to make killer caesers.
If you spot an orange food truck rolling around, Twilight Bite, grab some delicious Japanese-inspired food from pro skier Yu Sasaki. You can often spot him out from the Rumpus Beer Company as the two are the perfect match, and you can eat the food inside or on their patio in the summer. If you’re after an amazing cafe with delicious food, La Baguette is one of the favorite spots in town.

When you’re not eating or exploring the mountains around Revelstoke, we highly recommend checking out the Revelstoke Railway Museum. Revy is a town built by railing, which is vital to the exploration and development of Western Canada.
