One of the best things to do in Banff when it’s raining, or the weather isn’t playing nice is the Eat the Castle Food Tour at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. This small 12-person group tasting tour brings guests to four locations within the sprawling complex, including STOCK food and drink, Grapes, 1888 Chop House, and The Vermilion Room.

The tour isn’t all about eating, though. During the experience, you’ll gain insights into the hotel’s history, art, and architecture from your knowledgeable guide as you explore the national historic site.

Use Banff Local Roam Route 2 to get to the Banff Springs Hotel without a car. This tour is best suited for adults interested in learning about the food and history of the hotel.

We recommend bringing a camera to take photos of the beautiful hotel and the lovely food you are about to be served. This is a great holiday tour when the whole hotel has the best decorations!

We're Cameron and Natasha

We've been writing about travel for the last decade. In 2018, we settled in the Canadian Rockies, one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Now, we live in Canmore and spend as much time as possible exploring and hiking around Banff. It’s one of the most spectacular areas and the perfect place for an outdoor vacation.

We aim to help you get the most out of your trip to Banff National Park and the surrounding areas. Learn more about us or support our work.
