The Golden Skybridge in Golden, British Columbia, is about a 2-hour drive from Banff and an enticing day trip for visitors to the Canadian Rockies on an extended trip. It’s a great stop for families as it has many fun activities for kids and adults. The primary attraction is the 426-foot suspension bridge over a large canyon with views across the Columbia Valley. It’s not just one bridge, though, as there is a second suspension bridge, and both are the highest in Canada.

Natasha Walks Along Golden Skybridge

The whole area feels like a natural theme park in the mountains, with a ropes course, zipline, mountain coaster, axe throwing center, small climbing wall, and giant canyon swing. The pricing structure allows visitors to purchase basic admission, which grants access to the suspension bridges, or the “Adventure Pass,” which includes many activities. If you’re looking for a thrill, the giant canyon swing will get most people’s hearts pumping—teenagers will love it!

We've been writing about travel for the last decade. In 2018, we settled in the Canadian Rockies, one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Now, we live in Canmore and spend as much time as possible exploring and hiking around Banff. It’s one of the most spectacular areas and the perfect place for an outdoor vacation.
