Not everyone is an experienced backcountry hiker and may appreciate the assistance and knowledge of a local guide. Even seasoned mountaineers, climbers, skiers, and mountain bikers look to the expertise of a guide. We’ve personally used guides many times in the mountains and walked away learning something new every time.

Discover Banff Tours offers excellent guided hikes with a packed lunch that will remove much of the stress of hiking in foreign terrain. While we believe that almost anyone can discover the Rockies on their terms, we understand some may benefit from safety in numbers and the experience of a guide.

The hike typically takes guests to one of four trails: Larch Valley, Stanley Glacier, Consolation Lakes, or the Plain of Six Glaciers. Guests can share their opinions on which hike they’d like to enjoy. The hike includes a packed lunch for you to enjoy along the trail.

We're Cameron and Natasha

We've been writing about travel for the last decade. In 2018, we settled in the Canadian Rockies, one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Now, we live in Canmore and spend as much time as possible exploring and hiking around Banff. It’s one of the most spectacular areas and the perfect place for an outdoor vacation.

We aim to help you get the most out of your trip to Banff National Park and the surrounding areas. Learn more about us or support our work.
