Quick Overview

Destination:
  • Lake Louise
  • ·
  • Moraine Lake
Type:
  • Shuttle

Moraine Lake Big Bus (previously called WowBanff) operates an open-top shuttle service to Moraine Lake daily. So this is the ideal tour to sit outside and breathe in the fresh mountain air as you travel to the lakes. On the bus, a knowledgeable host will give you insights about the area. Once at the lake, you are on your own and can take as much time as you want. Just make sure to pay attention to the bus departure times.

From the Deer Lodge, there’s a shuttle every hour to Moraine Lake. Every two hours minutes, there’s a shuttle from Moraine Lake that goes back to the parking area at Deer Lodge. When you’re back at Deer Lodge, you can actually walk right to Lake Louise.

This is the ideal tour if you want some information on the drive to the lakes but also want to have your own free time around Moraine Lake, not be on a scheduled tour with a guide walking you around the lakes.

We're Cameron and Natasha

We've been writing about travel for the last decade. In 2018, we settled in the Canadian Rockies, one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Now, we live in Canmore and spend as much time as possible exploring and hiking around Banff. It’s one of the most spectacular areas and the perfect place for an outdoor vacation.

We aim to help you get the most out of your trip to Banff National Park and the surrounding areas. Learn more about us here. If you've found our website helpful for planning, please consider booking some of our recommendations or supporting our work here.
