The good news is, there are many ways to save money. Of course, you could go to the grocery store and cook at your rental, but another option is to take advantage of some of the best happy-hour specials in Banff.
Many restaurants in Banff offer some form of happy hour, but only a few are truly noteworthy. Below are a few of our favorites!

Pizzeria Sophia

- Happy Hour Deal: 50% off select pizzas & cocktails // 3-5pm Daily

It’s hard to find a better pizza in Banff than at Pizzeria Sophia. Stepping into here feels instantly cozy and gets even better as you dig into their delicious offerings, like Tomato and Burrata and the ‘Nduja. Head here during their Happy Hour, where you can get 50% off select pizzas and cocktails. Additionally, visit on Monday or Tuesday after 5pm, and you’ll find 50% off select pastas.
Bluebird

- Happy Hour Deal: 50% off fondue, drinks from $6.50 // 4pm-5pm daily.

Set within a mid-century mountain chalet next to the Peaks Hotel, Bluebird offers a cozy ambiance and a roaring fireplace, creating a welcoming haven where every day feels like a bluebird day! Bluebird is one of the more expensive restaurants in Banff, so taking advantage of their Happy Hour is the best way to experience the magic of the interior.
Fondue Happy Hour (50% off!) is offered every day from 4-5 p.m. – the perfect post-ski or post-hike treat! Experience their classic Swiss fondue of
Emmental, gruyère, kirsch, sourdough, with warm fingerling potatoes for
$28.50. You won’t go thirsty either, as cocktails start at $6.50.
Hello Sunshine

Hello Sunshine is the best place for sushi in town, and they make the dining experience not just delicious but also fun! This is a retro restaurant with a funky interior, and even a karaoke bar that only gives off positive vibes.
Hello Sunshine has the best daily Happy Hour drink and food special in the valley. At least in our sushi-loving opinion! Every day, for one hour, you can get 50% off select sushi, $15 Ramen bowls, and $6.50 Pints and sake. And trust me when I say you cannot beat their $12 Maui Wowie roll!
Anejo

- Twice Daily Happy Hour: $4 Tacos and $7 Cocktails // Daily from 3pm – 5pm & 10pm – Close

Happy Hour at Anejo – so good it’s offered twice a day! If you’re craving some delicious tacos after you worked up a sweat on a hike, head to Anejo on Banff Avenue.
In the summer months, this is my go-to spot. I love the environment, creative margaritas and fresh tacos. Make sure to try their $4 crispy fish tacos and $7 margaritas during their special deal!
High Rollers

- Happy Hour Deal: Monday-Friday, half-price bowling from 3-5pm, and many more deals.

If the weather isn’t playing nice on your vacation, head to High Rollers for some indoor fun time at the best bowling alley in Banff! It’s far from your old-school bowling alley that feels grungy; instead, you’ll find modern decor, craft beer, wings, and delicious NY-style pizza.
High Rollers offers a daily special that cannot be beaten. Monday through Friday, enjoy half-price bowling from 3-5pm, accompanied by $6 pints. On Tuesdays, you’ll find 75-cent wings, and on Thursdays, you can get half-off pizzas. Can’t make it before 5pm? Head here on Wednesday for all-day half-price bowling!
More of a night owl? Monday through Thursday from 10pm to close, you can also enjoy half-price bowling and $10 fishbowl cocktails.
The Prow Pasta Monday

If you’re a pasta lover, head to The Prow, located at Buffalo Mountain Lodge on Monday nights for Pasta Monday.
