Best Hotels in Banff with a Pool
Moose Hotel & Suites
- Address — 345 Banff Ave, Banff (GPS)
- Booking.com — Moose Hotel & Suites
- Expedia – Moose Hotel
- Full Review – Is The Moose Hotel the Best Hotel on Banff Avenue?
The 4-star Moose Hotel is situated only minutes from the center of Banff, so you can easily walk into town and enjoy the services and attractions available.
The rooms here are stylish and comfortable, and many feature a gas fireplace. This is one of the most charming Banff family hotels, featuring an indoor pool for the kids to play, plus two nearby rooftop hot pools for the adults. Close by, there is a fitness room and a sauna. Sitting areas with outdoor fireplaces also make for a nice spot to relax in the evening with a hot drink in hand.
Its location on Banff Ave puts it just outside the heart of downtown, so families can access all of the town’s offerings within a very short walk. It’s one of the nicest hotels in Banff’s downtown core, and its prices reflect that.
Hidden Ridge Resort
- Address — 901 Hidden Ridge Way, Banff (GPS)
- Booking.com — Hidden Ridge Resort
- Expedia – Hidden Ridge Resort
If you don’t mind being a bit far from Downtown Banff and prefer to stay in an apartment-style room, then Hidden Ridge Resort is for you! These apartment-style rooms are in a quiet area of Banff, near Tunnel Mountain. It’s a 2km walk into town, but staying here, you are provided with a free shuttle bus that runs into town.
By staying in this location, you get one of the best outdoor pools in all of Banff! The hot and cold pools here have some of the best pool views money can buy, and both kids and adults love them.
Tunnel Mountain Resort
- Address — 502 Tunnel Mountain Rd, Banff (GPS)
- Booking.com — Tunnel Mountain Resort
- Expedia – Tunnel Mountain Resort
Tunnel Mountain Resort is another great option that’s near Hidden Ridge, and is also for those seeking self-catering accommodations. Most room options at least have a kitchenette to cook basic meals. It’s perfect if you are traveling Banff on a budget, and want to cook most of your meals instead of spending a lot of money eating out.
There is an indoor pool area here that is really ideal for kids when you need them to burn off energy. If you’re looking for a place that offers adults a relaxing experience, this is not the hotel for you, but if you are after something suitable for young children, it’s a nice choice.
Rimrock Banff
- Address — 300 Mountain Avenue
- Booking.com — The Rimrock Resort
- Expedia – The Rimrock Hotel
The newly renovated Rimrock Banff is one of the most luxurious hotels in the Canadian Rockies. After a long closure, it is finally reopening in Summer 2026 with an even more elegant feel.
Right near the Banff Gondola, the Rimrock is best for those who want to stay outside of Banff Avenue, and prefer a more peaceful retreat experience. Perhaps out of all the pools in the Canadian Rockies, the one here provides the most insane views out toward Mount Rundle. Truly, it’s hard to get better than this!
Fairmont Banff Springs
- Address — 405 Spray Ave, Banff (GPS)
- Booking.com — Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel
- Expedia – Fairmont Banff Springs
If you are not traveling Banff on a budget, and want to stay somewhere truly special, you cannot go wrong with a few nights at the Banff Springs Hotel. When it comes to luxury hotels in Banff National Park, none is more iconic than the long-standing Banff Springs Hotel.
The views are great in all directions, but they are particularly nice from the heated pool, which both kids and adults can enjoy! Beyond the pool when it comes to amenities, you’ll also have access to a championship golf course, fitness center, and tennis courts.
A unique feature of this hotel is the variety of cultural programs and organized activities offered to guests. Communal campfires with marshmallow roasting, nature walks, stargazing outings, guided snowshoeing adventures, and bike tours are just some of the outdoor activities available for all ages. If you are looking for a pool area for your Christmas holiday, know that the Banff Springs really goes all out. They also decorate the hotel with the most amazing decorations for Banff Christmas, and there are some great programs for kids to enjoy around the holidays. Santa is often seen wandering the halls!
Banff Rocky Mountain Resort
- Address — 1029 Banff Ave, Banff (GPS)
- Booking.com — Banff Rocky Mountain Resort
- Expedia – Banff Rocky Mountain Resort
This three-star Banff hotel is pet-friendly and offers self-catering accommodation, making it one of the best hotels in Banff for families seeking a pool.
The resort’s facilities include an indoor pool, outdoor hot tubs, a sauna, a gym, coin-operated laundry facilities, ski storage, and bike rentals. A really great place for those who want it all out of their accommodation, for a fraction of the price point as other hotels in Banff. Its location is several kilometers outside of town, so it’s best for guests who plan to cook most meals and don’t care about being in the center of Banff Avenue at all times. The grounds around the resorts offer plenty of space for children and families.
