The Banff Airporter is a year-round service between Calgary, Canmore, and Banff. They have many scheduled times from the airport, so you rarely have to wait more than an hour after your flight has landed. There is one departure point at the Calgary International Airport, one pick up/drop off point in Canmore at the Coast Hotel, and offer a pickup/dropoff at various hotels around Banff.

The staff is always friendly, and modern buses with power points, comfortable seats, blankets, and water are available. Depending on road conditions, the journey takes about 1:20 hrs to reach Canmore and 2 hours to reach Banff. Note that there is no service to Lake Louise.

Our Experience With the Banff Airporter

We take the Banff Airporter when we want to leave our car nice and warm in our garage in the winter and have our family and friends take them into Banff/Canmore if we cannot pick them up. They have been operating in the valley for years and are well-known and trusted in the community as a reliable way to get to the airport.

The Banff Airporter sells out during peak summer times. It’s highly recommended that you reserve your seat in advance, although walk-ups are allowed at the airport but not in Canmore or Banff.

We're Cameron and Natasha

We've been writing about travel for the last decade. In 2018, we settled in the Canadian Rockies, one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Now, we live in Canmore and spend as much time as possible exploring and hiking around Banff. It’s one of the most spectacular areas and the perfect place for an outdoor vacation.

We aim to help you get the most out of your trip to Banff National Park and the surrounding areas. Learn more about us here. If you've found our website helpful for planning, please consider booking some of our recommendations or supporting our work here.
